We continued our hike-through of the Trans Swiss Trail by hiking stage 4, an 18 km stretch with an ascent of 460 m and descent of 660 m going from Saignelégier to St-Imier.

We completed stage 3, Soubey to Saignelégier. At 12 km, this stage was a relatively short hike, but with an 800 m gain in altitude, it was not an easy hike.

This easy trail (just under 5 k) took us from Immensee to Küssnacht am Rigi. Along the way, we walked the narrow passage where legend says Wilhelm Tell shot the Austrian bailiff Gessler (The Hohle Gasse) and we explored the castle ruins at Gesslerberg.

Over the Easter weekend, we hiked the “Three Waterfalls Trail” in the Bernese Oberland. At 17 km, and about 775 m elevation gain, (plus more depending on how much exploring you do around each waterfall to get the best views), it is a long hike, but lovely hike.

We continued our hike-through of the Trans Swiss Trail (Route 2) and hiked stage 2 (Length 17 km, Ascent 260 m, Descent 220 m) form St-Ursanne to Soubey.

The Rosinli Rundweg (Length 10 km, Ascent 320 m, Descent 320 m) is an easy loop hike in Canton Zürich starting in the village of Kempten.

A summary of hiking the complete Zürich-Zugerland Panorama Trail (Trail 47) This trail is a 34 km long, two stage trail that starts in Zürich and goes to Zug.

Stage 1 of Trans Swiss Trail – Route 2 is 17 km long with 600 m of ascent and 600 m of descent.

Stage 2 of the Zürich-Zugerland Panorama Trail (length 21 km, ascent 380 m, descent 760 m) continues along the Albis Ridge going past the Ablis Horn before heading down to Baar and on to Zug.

Stage 1 of Zürich-Zugerland Panorama Trail (Trail 47) is 13 km long with 700 m of ascent and 400 m of descent. It includes a hike up to the top of Uetliberg, the highest local point overlooking Zürich, followed by a hike along the Albis Ridge.

A summary of hiking the compete Trail 84, the Zürichsee-Rundweg, a ten stage trail that starts in Bürkliplatz and loops around lake Zürich (including the Obersee).

This very popular, pretty trail circumnavigates the Türlersee, a small lake in the district of Affoltern, in Canton Zürich. At only 4.5 kilometers and almost no elevation change, this trail was the perfect easy walk for a less than perfect day.
