The Sihlwald Circular Trail (length 13 km, ascent 570 m, descent 570 m) is a fun loop trail that starts at the Sihlwald Bahnhoff, goes through the forest up to the fabulous views at the Albishorn, and ends with a lovely easy walk along the riverside as it returns to the Sihlwald Bahnhoff.
-

Stage 10 (length 11 km, ascent 190 m, descent 320 m) is also the final stage of the Zürichsee-Rundweg.
-

Stage 9 (length 8 km, ascent 260 m, descent 150 m) took us from Meilen to Küsnacht.
-

We completed stage 8 – Stäfa to Meilen (length 12 km, ascent 340 m, descent 380 m).
-

Back on the trail with stage 7 of the Zürichsee-rundweg hike (length 14 km, ascent 380 m, descent 320 m). The panorama views on stage 7 were some of the best views so far.
-

I have returned to my quest to complete the Zürichsee-Rundweg with stage 6 – Schmerikon to Rapperswil. SAt only 11 kilometers and 70 meters of elevation gain, it was not a particularly challenging hike, but it did make for an excellent afternoon walk.
-

The Buchenegg Trail (length 8.5 km, ascent 304 m, descent 304 m) has views of Lake Zürich, and the Türlersee, along with rolling hills, forests, and green pastures.
-

The Limmat Culture Trail (length 9 km, ascent 100 m, descent 100 m) is a loop trail along the Limmat river between Wettingen and Baden. Along the trail are 27 contemporary art installations by Swiss artists.

Woohoo! We made it through stage 5 of the Zürichsee-Rundweg Trail and we are now at the half-way point. At 23 km (ascent 420 m, descent 400 m), this stage was a bit of challenge and while it wasn’t my favorite stage so far, it was still pretty fun.
-

We completed Stage 4 – Richterswil to Pfäffikon. As I expected based on the stats (17 km, and an ascent 780 m and descent 760 m), this was the most challenging so far.
-

Stage 3 starts at the Horgen train station and goes along the lake shore down to the Richterswil train station. At 13 km, this trail is long enough to be a hike, but with only minimal elevation change it felt more like a very long stroll.
