So what activities already posted did I go back and do again in 2025? Did I go do the Engelstock loop and finally try the goat ice cream? Spoiler alert, yes I did the loop again, but no I didn’t get the goat ice cream. Read on to find out what else I did this year! Here’s the repeat roundup list for 2025.
February

Visiting the Lindt Home of Chocolate
In February, we had guests visiting and I took them to the Lindt Home of Chocolate where we did the self-guided chocolate tour. This tour is always a hit with anyone who likes chocolate, and, of course, I never mind going again. (Original Post)

Sledding at Melchsee-Frutt
In February, we also took our guests sledding at Melchsee-Frutt. This 8 km sled run is our favorite sled run in Switzerland and sledding there is always a treat. (Original Post)

Visiting Rhine Falls
In February, another trip we took with our guests was to Rhine Falls. We didn’t do the full loop hike this time, but we did part of it and enjoyed the views of the falls and hearing the roar of the water. In the winter, the boat tour to the center island isn’t available. It would be nice to go back in the summer sometime to do that. (Original Post)
March

Hiking part of stage 1 of the Zürichsee-Rundweg Trail
In March, we decided to walk from our house to Zürich, Bürkliplatz. While most of this walk wasn’t part of any specific trail, the section between Wollishofen and Bürkliplatz happened to follow Stage 1 of trail 84, the Zürichsee-Rundweg. As this is a really lovely section, it was nice to walk this way again. (Original Post)
August

Visiting the Lindt Home of Chocolate.
In August, we had guests and I went with them to the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Like, I said, always a hit. (Original Post)

Rafting the Linth Canal
In mid-August, my husband and I got out for a float on the Linth canal. This is something we try to do every year and I am glad we did it this year too! Always enjoyable! (Original Post)

Stand-Up Paddling across Lake Zürich
At the end of August, I went out for the second time this summer to standup paddle across Lake Zürich. We did the same route as the first time, and while the weather was better, I still wasn’t brave enough to do the stand part of stand up paddling. Maybe next time! (Original Post)

Hiking the Stoos Gratweg Trail from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock
On the last day of August, my husband and I hiked the Stoos Gratweg trail. I had hiked this trail before but my husband had not. He is a bit afraid of heights and wasn’t sure this trail was for him, but he thought it was great, if a bit crowded. It is a very popular trail (you can see the crowds in the first picture) but no surprise – the views on this trail are amazing! (Original Post)

December

Biking Half-Way around Lake Zürich
In December, I decided to bike around lake Zürich again but this time I only went half-way and took the ferry back across the lake from Meilen to Horgen. I plan to do the second half again sometime soon but probably won’t get to it until 2026. (Original Post)

Hiking the Engelstock Loop Trail at Sattel Hochstuckli
On the last day of the year, I went with friends and hiked this trail again. What a perfect way to end the year! But did I try the goat ice cream? No. But maybe next time. (Original Post)
