Stage 8 of the Bodensee Radweg is 22 km long with 90 m ascent/descent. Starting at Radolfzell and ending in Konztanz, the last stage of the Bodensee Radweg is entirely in Germany. This final stage is short and sweet which made for a really nice end to this bike adventure.

Getting There
When I finished stage 7 at the Radolfzell train station, I decided to just continue with stage 8 as the weather was perfect and I still had plenty of daylight left.

But first, I had to have some lunch. So, I parked my bike, walked into town, and went to an outdoor cafe on a side street. There, I had a sandwich and an enormous piece of cake. The sandwich was good and the cake was delicious.
The Route
After lunch, I went back to my bike and was on my way. Well, I did stop briefly to take a selfie and a picture of the lake.

The rest of the route was mostly paved and a good portion of it followed along the train tracks.

I did stop a few time as my knee was starting to hurt, but this was mostly easy biking and I was back in Konstanz before too long.
Getting Back
When I reached the train station in Konstanz and the end of the route, I had plenty of time to go down to the harbor for a last look at the water before I went home.

An older gentlemen took my photo for me to help celebrate the end of the ride. I look a little bedraggled but I felt very accomplished to have done the entire route. This was a very fun biking adventure and I am glad I did it.
