Visiting the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany
The Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany is a museum all about the Porsche company and the cars they make. Ever since visiting and having a great time at the similar Mercedes-Benz Museum (also in Stuttgart), we kept saying we should visit the Porsche museum as well. Over the Christmas break, we finally went back to Stuttgart and did a tour of the Porsche Museum and we enjoyed our visit very much.

The Museum
There are tours available, but we just walked through the museum. Everything is labeled in English and German. You start by taking an elevator to the top floor and then wind your way down through the building.
Lots of classic Porsche history, including an original Porsche 911 and the most photographed Porsche ever, The Pink Pig, covered in the lines and names for meat cuts. Engines, race cars, and even a Porsche tractor.
Plus the car that inspired the monopoly piece, a life size lego version, and a life size “Sally” from the movie cars! It’s all here.
This was a fun museum and I recommend it for any Porsche enthusiasts.
Mercedes-Benz Museum or the Porsche Museum?
The Porsche Museum is definitely worth a visit, but if I only had time for one car museum and I had to choose between the Porsche and the Mercedes Benz museums, I would choose the Mercedes-Benz Museum. It had the popemobile and it also had a cool art collection that provided more interest for people not that into cars.
