Stage 7 of the Trans Swiss trail is a 19 km long hike with a 360 m ascent and a decent of 340 m. The trail technically goes from Neuchâtel to Murten, but as you cross Lake Neuchâtel with the ferry, you don’t actually start hiking until you reach Cudrefin.

Visiting the Bruno Weber Sculpture Park in Dietikon
Bruno Weber (1931 – 2011) was a Swiss artist best known for his whimsical concrete sculptures. In Dietikon, on the site of Bruno Weber’s former home, is an entire sculpture garden filled with his weird and magical creations.

Hiking the Trans Swiss Trail – Stage 3 Soubey to Saignelégier
We completed stage 3, Soubey to Saignelégier. At 12 km, this stage was a relatively short hike, but with an 800 m gain in altitude, it was not an easy hike.

Hiking the Hohle Gasse Historical Path – Immensee to Küssnacht am Rigi
This easy trail (just under 5 k) took us from Immensee to Küssnacht am Rigi. Along the way, we walked the narrow passage where legend says Wilhelm Tell shot the Austrian bailiff Gessler (The Hohle Gasse) and we explored the castle ruins at Gesslerberg.

Hiking the Three Waterfalls Trail – Bönigen(See) to Brienz
Over the Easter weekend, we hiked the “Three Waterfalls Trail” in the Bernese Oberland. At 17 km, and about 775 m elevation gain, (plus more depending on how much exploring you do around each waterfall to get the best views), it is a long hike, but lovely hike.
